Find out how to get more from Google for your business for FREE.

Google may well be part of the vernacular these days, but most people still only view Google as a search engine – to find out the answers to the pub quiz or locate somewhere that sells concert tickets? Search is still vitally important to users and online businesses – the top three bargain hunting searches in the UK in 2011 were Cheap Flights, Cheap Holidays and Cheap Hotels...in that order.

Google has always had an uncluttered and simple appearance, but underneath that plain looking home page is a myriad of free tools, all of which have developed out of their ability to provide the best search results.

This hands-on workshop is intended for those businesses that have a website but it should be working a bit harder to bring in new business.

You will learn:

  • How search engines read your site
  • What Free Business Tools Google can provide
  • How to open a Google account
  • An introduction to Google Free Tool Kit
  • How to manage your account easily

Free Tools covered in this session will be:

  • Google Maps
  • Google Alerts
  • Google Ad Words (Pay Per Click advertising)
  • Google Analytics

Following this workshop you will have a better understanding of how Google works in relation to your website and how the free tools will benefit your business in the short and long term. Moreover, you will be able to use these tools as part of your new online strategy.

This workshop is supported by the European Social Fund and intended for participants working in the private sector and living or working in Bridgend, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, RCT or Torfaen Unitary Authorities.

This workshop will be presented in English, however, should you wish to engage in the workshop through the medium of Welsh, please let us know up to 4 working days before the date of the event and we will endeavour to ensure all resources are available in Welsh as soon as possible.
